Chausten

Got Candy?  Chausten wants to know.  Why are we compelled to name these Hipsters?

I have to be honest... I am not a huge fan of the Hipster stamps.   With that said I do like Goat and the monkey.  Luckily my crafty bestie Julia over at Paradise Lost bought these last week and let me do some stamping.  I just wanted to play and keep it simple and fun.  Easter is just around the corner and I had an idea.

I stamped Chausten onto the new Distress Mixed Media Tag and covered him in Distress Glaze to minimize the inking on him.  I did a simple blend of distress inks for the rest of the tag. No... I don't have the Distress Oxide inks yet!

I layered the Doily stencil and lattice rubbing off the ink between stencils with a baby wipe.  I cut the "GOT CANDY" with the Pastel Leather Paper pack and Alphanumeric letters.  Use the Magnetic Platform to keep everything from shifting.  Ink the edges so they pop!

Get the placement of the letters before adhering.  I decided a little ephemera needed to be here so some Ranger matte multi medium and black soot distress crayon really pulled it together.  I tucked the letters into the Xyron 3" Disposable Sticker Maker, rub and BAM instant sticky letters and not fingers.

OK, I added the Crazy Things bunny ears for fun!  I hate to fussy cut so I would get the Crazy Things Framelit if I was you.

I added the teeniest Small Tattered Florals for a pop of colour.

The Medium Bow Punch makes quick work for Chausten's bow tie!

Layering the stencils shows a subtle background effect.

Tied off with a fluffy bow inked with wilted violet distress ink.

Chausten and I had fun.  Although he doesn't seem too pleased with his bunny ears.  It was fun to create... just for fun for a change.  Chausten thinks so too...

    1. I think either you like them or don't. I did a number of stamped images just so I could have a few. But I will borrow... unless I find them for cheap...hehe!
