Toxic Brew- Make it 3D

There's still time to enter the Make it 3D Challenge for Eileen Hull.  The DT has been sharing their inspiration all month!  Did you know Eileen has a Sizzix die that will take your dies and "Make it 3D".  This can elevate your favorite dies by creating dimension!  Just think of your stash and what you can accomplish!
I was recently traveling down south and stopped in at The Island's Creative Escape in Los Gatos, California.  This is where I picked up the Tea Time die.  I knew I was going to make it 3D.

I knew I needed my skeletons.  Time to break some bones.

I got these Wendy Vecchi Embossing Powders when I was on the Frilly and Funkie DT.  I love the enamel look the fern green and orange blossom.  I love, love, love this little tab!

The mini ticket is the perfect sign.  It's what Starbucks would look like in Halloween Towne.

How you doin'?

I love bending and snapping these guys.  They become humanized.

I like to try and think outside of the box when I …

What Paper can Do

You know what Monday means...a new Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge, "Not your regular paper".  I got this in the bag!  I rarely use pattern paper.  I almost always make my own and my favorite paper to use is watercolor paper!  I love how many ways you can use it, the texture and sheer thickness!  Lets get to it...I created a fun watercolor paper tag!
I love layering and creating dimension.  I cut a tiny tattered floral and instead of rolling it I left it as a plant.  Adding a garden greens cut along with it then layering all the sand and sea cuts it creates a surreal ocean scene.

By blotting my mermaid lagoon and twisted citron right onto my craft sheet, spritz with water and drag you can get a dynamic background.

Have you tried making your own custom blend ink pad yet?  It's easy and fun.  I created mine with reinkers peeled paint, forest moss and twisted citron.  With the brayer I inked the sand and seahorse which creates a pretty gradient effect.  By adding some…

Beyond...

I cannot believe it's been a month since I have been in my craft room!  I was starting to go a little stir crazy.  I wanted to make sure I got my July Tag done. Phew, just making it again.   Excuse the warm lighting.  I was up early and crafting this morning.  I am so excited by the new releases and Halloween coming I decided to go spooky!  I always try to find a different angle on the tags while still maintaining the techniques.  Variety is the spice of life.

I used the Mini Blueprints #7 and kept all my watercoloring messy!

Instead of the metal numbers I used my enamel and added a little twisted citron distress paint along with the wee mirrored star.  I sanded off some of the paint.

I picked up the wishbones while I was down south.  I used my piercer to make a hole so I could attach it to the token.

Do you have the Micro Glaze yet?  I love this stuff!

Using black soot to spritz the tag going heavy and light all around the tag.

Bring on the new releases and Halloween!

I Scream...for Idea-Ology

Monday + Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge= FUNDAY!   This weeks challenge is the letter "I" and what inspires you.  Now, I'm sure a lot of you are thinking HELLO...that's easy.  Ummm...not me, nope, not at all.  I'm thinking, I'm thinking... ice cream, icicles, icy blues, iceberg.  Hey, I'm Canadian and apparently I think cold things.  Needless to say I felt challenged and I do like a challenge. After days of contemplating (no, really days and days)  it hit me, Idea-Ology.  Join me and check out what the letter "I" sparks my imagination using Idea-Ology.

I've been collecting ALL the Idea-Ology Correspondence goodies of late.

I made sure to only use the Correspondence stamp set for the whole project.  I wanted show just how far this stamp set can stretch.

I love the Airmail Paper String wrapping the box.

I did the sides too.

I topped with a pen nib and tucked in a Index Label with the small chit chat sentiment.

Who doesn't love the …
